Currently, Jio-bp has 5600 charging points. The aim is to expand the infrastructure in a bid to encourage EV adoption in the marketplace. This move will certainly enhance EV adoption in India, as charging will be a simple process.

Under the PM E-drive scheme, Jio-bp’s charger plan is implemented with supporting ₹2000 crore from the government. Jio-bp also has support from the FAME scheme that subsidises EV’s for both sellers and buyers.

Ultra-fast chargers can charge an EV in only 15-20 mins. Currently, 95% of Jio-bp's stations have fast chargers which saves a lot of time for those who are in a hurry.

Jio-bp is installing chargers at malls, hotels, offices, and even residential places. Therefore, EV owners are now at an advantage as they can conveniently charge their vehicles while working, shopping, or even traveling.

In India, the adoption rate of electric two wheelers is at 6% and counting. To keep up with the demand, Jio-bp is planning on adding more chargers in order for users of e-bikes and e-scooters to charge with ease.

Tata Power is NOT lagging as they too plan to add and install 4 lakh EVSE units within 5 years. With so many players coming into the market, it means that there is no limit to the growth of EV charging infrastructure in the country.

Renewable energy usage increase in Jio-bp's charging network will help in reducing pollution from electric vehicles and make Jio-bp and the EVs better for the environment.
